The reviewing time for assets to be approved is quite long – from 1 to 3 months. Because it takes so long, you should ensure that your AI work meets the quality, legal, and technical standards. This way, you don’t have to re-submit and waste time.

While some requirements are standard, such as having full rights to the image you’re uploading for sale, others are unique. One of the most noteworthy conditions is that you can’t sell any AI images where there are human faces on them.

This is because they consider it impossible to obtain any model release that would make the image fit their legal and ethical standard. None of the other stock media markets I’ve seen have this clause.

So, this isn’t your best choice if you work with AI-generated portraits or other genres where people may be portrayed. Otherwise, Dreamstime is a great place to sell your AI images, as they have been around for about 25 years.

This has allowed them to position themselves and create a large community of contributors and users. They started accepting AI images back in 2022. So, their market has had enough time to establish itself and make users comfortable with this technology.

Basically, you must be sure you own all the rights to sell them, have the proper releases when applicable, and match the quality standard.

Unlike other stock media websites, you don’t have to check a box stating that the image was created with AI tools. Instead, you must submit it directly to the “AI Generated Images” category. They will be rejected if you submit to a different one.

This won’t limit the visibility of your assets, though. AI-generated images are still shown to the user looking for that subject regardless of how they were created.

That said, users looking for images can uncheck the “Include AI-generated content” box in the Filter section.

To sell your images on 123RF, you must become a contributor. Depending on how many requests they already have, the review time to approve your request may be a while.

As with most stock image websites, the payment structure depends on whether the download was made using credits or as part of a subscription plan. Payday happens at the end of the month.

Can I sell AI images on Etsy?

Etsy’s latest statement on AI-generated content came out in July 2024. In it, they allow creators to use their “original prompts in combination with AI tools to create the artwork” they sell. Can I sell AI images in Envato?
